BOZEMAN -- The Montana State men's basketball team officially held its first practice of the season Wednesday afternoon, and it was the first for new head coach Danny Sprinkle.
The team looks a little different than last year after losing its biggest piece in Tyler Hall, who broke the Big Sky Conference all-time scoring record last season. But the Bobcats do return two seniors, Harald Frey, who averaged 17.2 points per game last season, and Livingston native Ladan Ricketts, who shot 45.7 percent from the 3-point line last year.
Montana State opens play with an exhibition match against Yellowstone Christian on Oct. 30 before officially beginning its regular season on Nov. 5 in a road game at Utah State.
