BOZEMAN — Montana State concluded its family fun day with its first open intrasquad scrimmage of the 2019 football season on Saturday.

Both the offense and defense found success throughout the scrimmage, and both sides gave good glimpses as to what fans can expect from this year's team. Troy Andersen and Travis Jonsen both saw some time in the Wildcat formation on offense, and for Andersen it's starting to prove the notion that, despite being a linebacker, the junior from Dillon will be spending some time on offense throughout the season, as well.

“I thought we were at a pretty good rhythm," said head coach Jeff Choate. "There were some things we gave the offense -- Troy for one series, they kind of needed to maximize him. And obviously we didn't open up the whole playbook (Saturday), so it’s really just one, two plays we called with him in there."
