SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Emma Stockholm scored 21 points and Abby Anderson 20 more as the Montana Lady Griz improved to 2-0 in Big Sky Conference play with a 64-60 win over Sacramento State.
Both Stockholm and Anderson grabbed eight rebounds, while Sophia Stiles added 11 points for the Lady Griz, who also defeated Northern Arizona on Saturday. McKenzie Johnston led UM with six assists.
The Lady Griz shot 42.3 percent from the field, but were just 3 for 15 from deep. Montana also overcame 21 turnovers in the game.
Montana (7-4 overall, 2-0 Big Sky Conference) is back in Missoula on Thursday and Saturday as the Lady Griz welcome Southern Utah and Northern Colorado to Dahlberg Arena.
