BOZEMAN — Cat-Griz volleyball's second edition returned to Shroyer Gym in Bozeman Tuesday evening, where the Montana State Bobcats looked to make it a regular-season sweep of rival Montana.
But out of the gates, the Griz looked strong and took the first set 25-21. MSU returned with firepower in the second set, taking it 25-21. From there, Montana put the heat back on, taking the next two sets 25-20 and 25-18, respectively, for the 3-1 win on the road over the Bobcats.
Montana State hosts Big Sky-leading Northern Colorado on Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Montana returns to Missoula for a Friday night home contest with Northern Colorado at 7 p.m.
