Former University of Montana offensive lineman William Poehls will stay in the NFL a little longer.

Poehls, who was previously a member of the Indianapolis Colts, was claimed off waivers by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the team announced Wednesday.

Poehls, a 6-foot-8, 344-pound tackle, started his NFL career in 2014, signing as an undrafted free agent with the Tennessee Titans. He remained with the Titans for two years, spending the entirety of his tenure on the practice squad. Poehls also spent time with the Buffalo Bills, Chicago Bears and Jacksonville Jaguars before signing with the Colts last February.

The Bucs open their preseason schedule on Aug. 9 at the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Poehls, a Chandler, Ariz. native, played in 45 career games for the Grizzlies from 2010-13. He started two games as a sophomore in 2011 before becoming a full-time starter at right guard as a junior in 2012.
