INDIANAPOLIS -- On Saturday night at the NFL Combine, it was the linebackers' turn to show what they had to offer at the next level. Former Montana linebacker Dante Olson was one of those players in that select group.

On Friday night, Olson put up 15 bench press reps but followed that with an impressive performance on Saturday.

Olson recorded a 42.0-inch vertical jump, the highest among linebackers in 2020 and highest a Grizzly has ever recorded at the Combine. That jump also put Olson at No. 3 for vertical jump across every position that tested through Saturday night. Only two linebackers in Combine history have jumped higher than Olson.

Olson also had a leap of 124.0 inches (10 feet, 4 inches) in the broad jump, which is also a best for former UM players and put him in the top 10 in the linebackers group.

The Medford, Ore., native also ran a 4.88-second 40-yard dash, recorded a 7.0-second three-cone drill and a 4.32-second 20-yard shuffle.

The NFL Draft begins on Thursday, April 23 in Las Vegas.
