IDAHO FALLS, Idaho -- The Pioneer league's Northern Division Championship finale will have to wait at least another day due to rainy weather in Idaho Falls.

The Billings Mustangs and Idaho Falls Chukars were suspended due to weather for the second straight night Wednesday in hopes of continuing the decisive Game 3.

Play is now scheduled to resume on Thursday at 1 p.m. MDT at Melaleuca Field in Idaho Falls with the Mustangs leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second inning. KIDK-TV Sports Director Dylan Carter reports that if field conditions are unplayable the series will be decided by a head-to-head tie-breaker, which Idaho Falls owns 11-9. The Thursday forecast in Idaho Falls is sunny with a high of 68 degrees and a 10 percent chance of rain.

The suspension has also pushed the start of this week's Pioneer Championship Series from Thursday to Friday. If the Mustangs win they'll host Ogden on Friday at Dehler Park in a 6:35 p.m. start. Tickets purchased for Thursday's game will be honored on Friday in Billings.
