BILLINGS – Billings – and maybe all of Montana – has a new crown jewel in the golf world, as Yellowstone Country Club opened its new clubhouse Friday.
The multi-million dollar building was completed in just over a year, and has been moved west to overlook the 18th green from a large second story patio.
YCC also added premium amenities, including a bigger pro shop and two indoor simulators that can be adapted for a variety of sports. Head pro Bob Eames watched it happen from day one, and gushed about the finished product.
“I just can’t wait for the members to come out and see what we’ve got,” Eames said. “We had a little open house a couple nights ago, and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen more members smile than I saw that night. And if one of them said it, 50 people said it – ‘Wow. I didn’t know it was going to be this nice.’
“You won’t find anything better in Phoenix, Tucson, Pebble Beach, no matter where you go. This is top notch.”
The clubhouse also features two new dining areas, plus a quick-stop food area on the bottom level just off the pro shop.
