BILLINGS - The Big Sky State Games and Kenco Security and Technology have teamed up to offer four scholarships recognizing the importance of sportsmanship and character in athletics.

Opportunities are open to high school juniors (2019-2020 school year) who have participated in the State Games. This allows the winners to serve as role models during their senior year. The application deadline is Friday, May 8.

“By recognizing the importance of the Six Pillars of Character, established by Character Counts, the Big Sky State Games is taking a proactive approach to developing character through participation in sports,” said Liana Susott, Big Sky State Games Executive Director. “Trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship are ethical values important in all aspects of life including the Big Sky State Games. The scholarships are an opportunity for the Big Sky State Games to reward positive behavior through sports and in life.”

Scholarship applications are available at statewide high school counselor offices, the Big Sky State Games office (490 N. 31st in Billings), or online at www.bigskygames.org.
