GREAT FALLS — The Missoula Mavericks scored a combined 19 runs in two games to sweep an American Legion Baseball doubleheader against the Great Falls Chargers at Centene Stadium on Saturday.
The Mavs won the first game 6-0 and won a tight second game 13-12. Great Falls won the series opener on Friday, 10-3.
The weekend brings the Mavericks to a 14-3 record in conference play, while Great Falls drops to 5-13. Both teams continue play on Monday, with Missoula hosting Medicine Hat for a three-game series starting at 5 p.m., while Great Falls travels to Helena for a single game starting at 7 p.m.
