GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls Chargers Class AA American Legion Baseball club is set to open conference play next week. The young squad sits at 7-14 on the season, but head coach Tony Forster said his team has been able to work out a few rough spots and is looking forward to the rest of the season.

“Our goal is to just compete every single game. What we try to tell these guys is, our main thing is make sure we have a chance to win each game at the end,” Forster said. “Whether you’re ahead or behind, at least give us the opportunity to have a shot to win and that’s kind of our goal each game.”

The Chargers played one conference game earlier this season, but the full schedule starts next Tuesday in Helena at 7 p.m.
