BILLINGS – Brooks Zimmer was named an all-state outfielder and pitcher, and he was joined by two other teammates on the Montana-Alberta Class AA American Legion Baseball all-state list released Sunday as voted on by the league’s coaches.
Tyler Frieders also earned all-state pitching honors, and Jayden Kay (2B) helped the 2018 AA state champions dominate the list. Three more Royals – Cade Torgerson (P), Jarret Leinwand (C), and Dawson Smith (1B) – were named all-conference.
Royals manager Bryan Benjamin also earned the coach of the year award.
