OREM, Utah – The Billings Mustangs (15-23) finished off their road trip with a 10-5 win over the Orem Owlz (12-26) in front of 2,722 at UCCU Ballpark.

The Mustangs would lead the whole way to split the four-game series, scoring two runs in the top of the first. Cash Case led off the game with a double and scored later on a wild pitch while Drew Mount singled behind him and scored on a grounder. Case went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, walk and three runs scored. It was Case’s second triple in three days.

The Owlz would get within one after a passed ball in the third, but that would be the closest they came the rest of the way. Mac Sceroler (2-2) delivered a gem on Tuesday, tying his career-high with six innings of work and eight strikeouts. He allowed just one run in that time on four hits. It was the second time in the last three starts that Sceroler has struck out eight and the third time he has accomplished it in professional baseball.

Three runs on four hits in the fifth for Billings cemented their lead backed by the two-RBI single of Mariel Bautista and the RBI hit of Dylan Harris. Harris went 3-for-5 to match Carlos Rivero for the longest hitting streak of the season at eight. Rivero had his streak snapped in the game going 0-for-4. He was left in the on-deck circle to end the ninth. Harris finished the series going 6-for-10 over his last two games, scoring three runs and driving in three as well.

With the win, the Mustangs finish their road trip 2-5, but split the four-game series with the Owlz 2-2. They now head home to begin a six-game homestand on Thursday against the Missoula Osprey. First pitch at Dehler Park is set for 7:05 p.m.
