MISSOULA – On Saturday morning the first-ever Missoula Lard Butt 1K race took place. Over 800 people packed into Silver Park at 11:00 am to enjoy an hour of beer drinking for some liquid encouragement before roughing the brutal 0.62-mile course.

Not only was beer served a full hour before, but donut stations were placed every 250 yards and costumers were definitely encouraged. Everything from donut floats to dinosaurs and pirates made an appearance.
