#5. Newman’s re-ride pays off big time!
The Big Sky Pro Rodeo for the Montana State Fair. Saddle bronc event, Melstone Montana’s Sage Newman on a re-ride scores 84.5 points riding a horse by the name of Hullabaloo. That would be the best score all week long and Newman took home 3,600 dollars.
#4. Justin Bullock with the insane reflexes!
Pioneer League baseball, Missoula Osprey at the Helena Brewers. Watch pitcher Justin Bullock with the cat-like reflexes here as he somehow catches this line drive right back to him! Osprey get the win though.
#3. Kolton Schmidt and Cole Davison deliver a beauty in team roping!
We go to the second round of team roping at the Big Sky Pro Rodeo. Kolton Schmidt from Alberta Canada and Cole Davison from Stephenville Texas clock in with a stunning 4.3 seconds out of the gate here! That’d be the best time from either rounds on the week and the pair took home 1,300 dollars each.
#2. Jarret Leinwand smacks the walk-off hit of his life, to win the state title!
Legion AA Baseball State Championship, Lethbridge Elks and Billings Royals. It goes to extra innings. In the ninth, how about winning the state championship on a walk-off? Jarret Leinwand becomes the hero as he drives in the winning run and immediately gets mobbed by his teammates. Billings wins the state title 6-5.
#1. 5 year old Sam VanTassell with a mutton busting ride for the ages!
Back to the Pro Rodeo on the last day and we conclude at the mutton busting event! Five-year-old Sam VanTassell somehow holds onto his ride, pulls himself back on top and makes it all the way across the arena! How about a 93 point ride for the little guy and that’s an arena record! As expected, Sam was smiles all around!
