#5. Doug Hall dances to a victory in the saddle bronc!
We go to the Choteau American Legion Rodeo on the Fourth of July. Saddle bronc event, Browning’s Doug Hall scores a 75 riding atop the bronc Slim Shady…and they call him the dancing cowboy for a reason! Hall struts his way to the best time in the go-round.
#4. Wheeler’s wild ride in the steer wrestling event!
We stay at the Choteau Rodeo and the steer wrestling event. Watch this, Baker’s Quentin Wheeler goes skiing right across the arena here but he doesn’t give up and finally wins the battle 11.9 seconds. That was the second best performance of the afternoon.
#3. Jean Carmona throwing people out on one knee!
Minor League Baseball, Great Falls Voyagers vs the Helena Brewers. Check out Jean Carmona with the defense, diving stop and then the throw from one knee over in time to first to get Corey Zangari out. Let’s check that again, fantastic effort from Carmona and a nice stretch from Chad McClanahan at first to get the out. Brewers win.
#2. A hat-trick for the Gatorade Player of the Year!
Shodair Soccer Classic in Helena. Glacier’s Cadie Williams stole the show in the girls game, first the header into the goal off a corner kick, then she’d add two more goals on the day to complete the hat trick and a 4-1 West team win. What a day for the Gatorade Player of the Year!
#1. Jay Estes steals the show for the Voyagers!
Missoula Osprey vs the Voyagers. Luis Cossio floats this into center field but Jay Estes says, nope, not today! That’s how you help out your pitcher! Check the slow-mo replay, what a smooth diving snag from the Voyagers center fielder. But Missoula would get the win.
