Missoula Osprey narrowly defeat Voyagers

GREAT FALLS – The Missoula Osprey narrowly defeated the Great Falls Voyagers 6-5 at Centene Stadium on Friday, July 6th. The Osprey were down 3-2 through four innings but then the team racked off four runs in the top of the sixth and held on for the close win.

Missoula pitcher Wilfry Cruz (4-0) picked up his fourth win on the mound, getting 4 strikeouts and only allowing 3 runs, while Great Falls Chris Comito (1-3) picked up another loss while giving up 8 hits and 6 runs batted in. Cesar Garcia, Buddy Kennedy, and Eddie Hernandez led the Osprey and all batted 2-4 at the plate. Five different Missoula players had RBIs.

Missoula (12-10) will now host Great Falls (12-10) in a two game stint at Ogren Park Allegiance Field beginning on Saturday, July 7th with the game starting at 7:05 p.m.
