BOZEMAN – The Bozeman Bucks shined Saturday in the Heroes Invitational Tournament, going 2-0 in games and 3-1 for the weekend. The tournament is being held at Heroes Legion Field and includes six teams across the area.
Game one on Saturday pitted the Bucks against the Medicine Hat Seminoles. After a 4-0 run in the bottom of the second, the Bucks held their own on defense to keep the Seminoles at bay. Payton Price led the game in RBIs, sending four guys home to win 8-0.
In game two, the Bucks took on the Yakima Beetles in a consistent fashion. The Bucks ran home two players per inning for the first three innings on seven hits, but it was Yakima’s Jayson Burge who shined on the mound, throwing three strikeouts. Bozeman still went on to win 6-0.
Sunday will conclude the Heroes Invitational Tournament and the Bucks will take on the Columbia Basin River Dogs at 1 p.m.
