GREAT FALLS – The Great Falls Voyagers welcomed the Missoula Osprey to Centene Stadium for the first of a 2-game series on Thursday. The Voyagers held on for a 4-3 win.
The scoring was hard to come by until Romy Gonzalez smacked a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. Missoula scored two runs in the top of the fifth to take the lead, 2-1, but the Voyagers fought back for a tie. Same thing in the seventh inning, Missoula took the lead 3-2 but in the bottom of the seventh, the Voyagers got two runs across to win it 4-3.
Great Falls (7-6) has now won four straight games and will play the Osprey (7-6) again at home on Friday, the 29th. Game time for that game is 7 p.m.
