HELENA — While the weather was good Thursday in the Capital City, the Great Falls Chargers and Butte Miners got in their opening game of the Keith Sell Tournament, with the Chargers winning 11-3.
The Chargers put up seven runs in the third inning to help secure the win, with pitcher Brayden Welty getting the win for the Chargers with five strikeouts in five innings pitched.
The Chargers play the Glacier Twins at 1:15 on Friday in the second day of the tournament.
