Billings girl wins Big Sky State Games anthem contest

BILLINGS – The 9th Annual Big Sky State Games National Anthem Contest winner is Savannah Williams of Billings. The fifteen year old recently completed her freshman year at Billings Christian School. She will sing the National Anthem at the 33rd Annual Big Sky State Games Opening Ceremonies on Friday, July 20 in Billings.

Williams has been singing since she can remember, but began performing at the age of five, singing at her church. Since then she has performed in numerous school Christmas programs and spring concerts with her school choir. Williams is also extremely involved in school musicals.

Her true passion in life is singing other hobbies include: one of which is playing the piano volleyball and participation in the Billings All-Star Cheer. Williams said, “I am beyond excited to sing the National Anthem for Opening Ceremonies.” Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the Parade of Athletes begins at 7:30 p.m. at Wendy’s Field at Daylis Stadium.
