BILLINGS — Tickets are now on sale for the Big Sky Brawl at Billings, featuring the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Big Sky Speedway in Billings on Saturday, August 25 and can be purchased online at slspromotions.ticketforce.com or by calling SLS Promotions at 815-344-2023.
In the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series return to Big Sky Speedway last year, 2013 series champion Daryn Pittman, was victorious. For the Oklahoma native, it was his second-career win at the track. Pittman took the lead from Shane Stewart on lap-9 and held him and nine-time series champion Donny Schatz off to score the win. Making the win even more special for Pittman was the fact that his car owner Kasey Kahne was in attendance watching.
Battling Pittman, Stewart and Schatz in 2018 is another stout group of full-time competitors including David Gravel who won a career-best 18 A-Feature events last season, Brad Sweet, who has a pair of victories this season and is second in points, Jason Johnson, Kraig Kinser, Jason Sides and Greg Wilson.
The next generation of drivers on the tour include Logan Schuchart, along with Jacob Allen and Clyde Knipp, who are all back on the road again in 2018, along with sophomore drivers Sheldon Haudenschild and Brent Marks. Haudenschild recently picked up his fourth win of the season, while Marks earned his first-career win. Ian Madsen is in the midst of his first full season with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
