#5. Is there anything Dawson Allen can’t do?! Obviously not.

Northern B divisional track and field meet at Memorial Stadium. Boys 200 meter, Fairfield’s Dawson Allen takes it with a time of 22.99 seconds. Allen won five Northern B titles on the day! He also won the 100, 110, and 300 meter hurdles along with the javelin.

#4. Another PR for the lightning fast CMR phenom!

Eastern AA divisional track in Butte. CMR’s Damien Nelson holds the top time in the 200 meter dash, this time he shatters the previous mark by nearly four tenths of a second! As the senior finished with 21.81 seconds.

#3. Kordell Carpenter breaks a school record.

Northern C Divisional track meet back at Memorial Stadium. 800 meter run and Denton-Geyser-Stanford’s Kordell Carpenter wins and sets a school record with a time of 1 minute, 58.78 seconds. That’s the best time in Class C by 3 seconds and the seventh best overall time in the state.

#2. Two incredible softball game changers for the price of one!

AA Softball playoff between Bozeman and Billings Senior. 2 game changers in this game. First Laurel Kilgore smacks one into deep right and Taylor Martin can’t haul it in! Bozeman can’t get the ball to the plate in time and it’s an inside the park home-run for Kilgore! A rare feat. Second, we have Dacee Zent popping it up to center but Tessa Laufenberg is right there for the diving catch! Senior moves on to the playoffs though.

#1. Garrison Hughes sets an incredible mark of vaulting 17 feet!….say what?

Eastern A divisional track meet in Glendive. Boys pole vault, Sidney Eagle senior Garrison Hughes clears 17 FEET! That’s the highest vault by a Montana prep athlete in Montana history! Let’s check out that replay, Hughes already owns the Class A state record, clearing 16 feet at last spring’s state meet. If he hits 17 feet again at state this week, he’ll literally and figuratively raise the bar for everyone!
