Bozeman Bucks sweep Billings Halos in doubleheader

BOZEMAN — The Bozeman Bucks made quick work of the Billings Halos in a doubleheader in Bozeman on Sunday.

The Bucks won Game 1 16-5 and Game 2 10-0.

Michael Freund led the Bucks in the first game, going 3-for-4, including a grand slam that broke Game 1 open early. Freund finished the game with seven RBI. Bozeman sprayed 12 hits and walked eight times against Billings pitching in the first contest.

Pitching dominated the second game, with Bozeman’s Zander Petrich and Ryan Evenson allowed zero runs on just two hits over a combined five innings.

The wins improve the Bucks’ record to 12-7, while Billings falls to 2-13 this spring.
