Great Falls Chargers, Bozeman Bucks split Saturday doubleheader

GREAT FALLS — The Bozeman Bucks defeated the Great Falls Chargers 8-5 in eight innings in Game 1 of the Saturday doubleheader at Centene Stadium before the Chargers bounced back in Game 2 for a 7-2 win to salvage the split.

The first game saw both teams tied at five runs after seven innings, before Bozeman scored three in the top of the eighth for an extra-inning win. Ryan Evensen led the Bucks with three hits and two RBI.

Derrick Spring took the mound for Great Falls in Game 2 and went all seven innings – allowing only two runs on three hits with four strikeouts. Cade Stuff led the Chargers at the plate with two hits and two RBI. Great Falls registered 10 hits in the win.
