State Games ice hockey, dance events this weekend in Billings

BILLINGS – The Big Sky State Games Ice Hockey, Dance Stage and Ballroom Dance competitions of the 33rd Annual events are slated for April 20-22 in Billings. Ice Hockey begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, April 20 at Centennial Ice Arena, continues on Saturday, April 21 at 7:00 a.m. and Sunday, April 22 at 8:00 a.m. Brackets are available at www.bigskygames.org. The Dance Stage events competition will be held at Skyview High School Theatre beginning at 8:00 a.m. both Saturday, April 21, and Sunday, April 22. Ballroom Dance will also take place at Skyview High School on Saturday, April 21 starting at 9:00 a.m. in the gymnasium.

The public is encouraged to attend the competitions. Daily admission at Dance is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for students age 7-18; children 6 & under are admitted free of charge. There is no charge for Ice Hockey.

Each sport of the State Games is supported by the volunteer efforts of Sport Commissioners. Ice Hockey Commissioners are Jeff Wilson, Justin Davis and Zach Wilson. The Dance Stage Events Commissioner is Dani Ruoff and the Ballroom Dance Commissioner is Andrew Baker.

Curling will be held the weekend of April 27-29. Finals in most sports of the Big Sky Games are July 20 – 22 in Billings. Online registration and entry booklets to register for the Big Sky State Games summer events will be available May 1.
