BUTTE — Montana’s top eight, 10, and 12 year-olds are flocking to Star Lanes in Butte this weekend for the Pepsi Youth Bowling Championships, the biggest youth scholarship bowling tournament in Montana.
The Mining City represented strongly on Friday evening, filling 40 of the 41 available spots in the tournament’s first shift.
The tournament will run through Sunday, with hundreds of dollars in scholarship money up for grabs. The winner of the 12 year-old bracket will earn an automatic bid to the national championships in Dallas, Texas this summer.
