BILLINGS – The Missoula Bruins Squirt ‘A’ team put a cap on a fantastic season Sunday with an 8-2 win over Helena in the Montana Amateur Hockey Association 10U State Championship game at Centennial Ice Arena in Billings.
Missoula finished 24-1-1 on the year, after winning five games by a combined 43-5 at the weekend tournament. Missoula’s only loss this year was to Helena back on Jan. 6. Their only tie was to Billings on Nov. 4 in the third game of the year.
Billings took third at the state tournament after beating Bozeman 8-2 in Sunday’s consolation final.
Glasgow won the Squirt ‘B’ state championship over the weekend in Havre.
Centennial will host the MAHA 12U ‘A’ state tournament next weekend (Mar. 2-4). Glasgow will host the ‘B’ division tourney.
The State High School ‘A’ and ‘B’ tournaments are also Mar. 2-4 in Missoula.
