HELENA – The Helena Brewers, in conjunction with the Pioneer League, are pleased to announce their schedule for the 2018 Pioneer League season. 2018 marks the final season the Brewers will play in Helena. The MiLB club will relocate to Colorado Springs in 2019.
The Brewers open their 38th season on the road against the Great Falls Voyagers for a single game on Friday, June 15. Helena will return to Kindrick Legion Field for its home opener on Saturday, June 16 at 7:05 P.M. as part of a two-game series with the Voyagers.
Key days on the schedule include a six-game homestand against the Billings Mustangs and Missoula Osprey from June 22 to June 27, and a seven-game homestand where the Brewers host the defending Pioneer League champion Ogden Raptors from July 18 to July 24.
The Pioneer League schedule runs from June 15 to September 6. Helena concludes its home schedule with a seven-game homestand from August 28 to September 3, including a four-game series with division-rival Great Falls. The Brewers then go on the road to Missoula for the final three games of the 2018 regular season.
For a third consecutive season, the Brewers are excited to have fireworks at Kindrick Legion Field. Two different fireworks shows are scheduled, with the first set for June 23 at 7:05 P.M. and the second on July 7, also at 7:05 P.M., weather and conditions permitting. Helena, the rookie affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers, competes in the Pioneer League and plays in the North Division, comprised of Helena, the Billings Mustangs (Cincinnati Reds), Great Falls Voyagers (Chicago White Sox) and Missoula Osprey (Arizona Diamondbacks). The Pioneer League South Division consists of the Orem Owlz (Los Angeles Angels), Ogden Raptors (Los Angeles Dodgers), Idaho Falls Chukars (Kansas City Royals) and Grand Junction Rockies (Colorado Rockies). The 76-game schedule is broken into two halves, with the first half running from June 15 to July 24 and the second half from July 26 to September 6.
