GREAT FALLS – For the bearback event, Cavan Wrzesinski from Boulder, Montana on the very first ride of the night scores an 86.5 riding “Black Tie”, and that wouldn’t be topped. J.R. Vezain from Crowley, Montana wins the final average, followed by Jessy Davis from Power and Chase Erickson from Helena.
For team roping, Dillon, Montana’s Max Kuttler and Lolo, Montana’s Kory Mytty win the night, scoring a 4.4. Cut Bank’s Dustin Bird and Helena’s Chase Tryan win the final average.
For the Steer Wrestling event, the Helena cowboy Ty Erickson clocks in at a stunning 4.3 seconds for first place. Butte’s Bridger Chambers wins the final average.
The the Saddle Bronc, Great Falls native Jesse Kruse had a much better night riding the horse “Marquee”, he would score an 81, good enough for second place on the night and third in the average. The day and first place however belonged to Alan Gobert from Browning, Montana with an 81.5 on his ride on the bronc called “Gone Country”. The Browning Cowboy won the final average as well.
For Tie-Down Roping, the Molt, Montana cowboy Hank Hollenback e clocked in with a 9.6, the best score on the night all around. Cut Bank’s Nolan Conway wins the final average.
For Barrell Racing, Shelly Anzick from Shepherd, Montana, the former circuit champion got off to a great start and had the best run anyone had all weekend! 13.03! Great run there, Volborg’s Ashley Day wins the final average.
Finally for Bull Riding, just five qualified rides the first two rounds, Valier’s Tristan O’Neal the first to cover on Sunday, the former Montana high school champ scored a 79 on “Can’t Get Right.” Parker Breding of Edgar, had a great ride himeself with an 87 point ride on “Rooster’s Egg!” Breding is the only cowboy to cover two bulls this weekend. So he wins the average and clinches his second Montana circuit championship.
