GLENDIVE – Isaiah Fowler of Ritenour High School in Saint Louis, Missouri has signed to run cross country and track for Dawson Community College.

Isaiah was a team leader in his senior year of cross country and battled injuries throughout the track season. He participated in two social justice clubs, and also completed thirty-six hours of community service in his junior year and forty-nine hours in his senior year. He was the president of the Future Business Leaders of America Club through his senior year. Isaiah participated in cross country from his sophomore to his senior year. His best times were 20:12 for 5,000 meters, 2:16 for 800 meters, and 5:16 for the mile.

Isaiah had this to say about attending Dawson, “I chose Dawson because I saw the opportunity Coach Sandy was offering me as he wanted to build his program, and I wanted to build myself as a runner. Coach is as ambitious as I am, so that works perfectly and I look forward to running for him in the fall.”

Coach Sandy added, “I am happy to have Isaiah joining our team this coming fall. Isaiah will add depth to our squad and will bring his desire to become a better runner to our team. I am excited to see Isaiah develop into a strong collegiate distance runner.”
