GLENDIVE – Romeo Parker from Evansville, Indiana, has signed a Letter of Intent to play for the DCC Men’s Basketball team next year.

Parker grew up in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but moved to Indiana for his senior year of high school. He helped his Evansville Bosse High School team reach the semi-finals of the state tournament. Last season Parker played for Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, where he averaged 7.0 points and 6.2 rebounds while shooting 47.3% from the 3-point line.

“I chose Dawson because it is going to be the best situation for me to reach my goals,” Parker said. “I received good feedback about the school in general and of course I want to be a part of this program’s success and do my best to show leadership. I’m ready to get to work with this group of guys as we all work together to improve our opportunities for the future. I’m happy to be in a better situation and most importantly win.”

Parker is the 13th signee for the 2018-2019 Buccaneers.

“Romeo gives us another player with size and length who can really shoot the ball,” said DCC head coach Joe Peterson. “He also rebounds the ball very well for a wing player. I think he will be a great fit with the other pieces we have.”
