GLENDIVE – Dawson Community College freshman outfielder Matt Strizich will be continuing his college baseball career at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, next fall.
Concordia is an NCAA DII institution and a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference.
“We are really happy for Matt because Concordia was at the top of his list from day one,” said Bucs head coach Chris Lewis, “and it is pretty neat that he has the opportunity to return to Oregon and be a couple hours from home.”
The 5’11 freshman played his high school baseball at The Dalles High School in the The Dalles, Oregon, located in the Columbia Gorge.
“He is the definition of a program guy,” Lewis said. “Plays hard all the time, is very coachable with a big desire to constantly improve his game and takes care of the classroom, as he was selected a 2017-18 Mon-Dak Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete. He is going to a solid program with a great coaching staff and we are thrilled he got this opportunity.”
