GLENDIVE – Dawson Community College head softball coach Jim LeProwse and his team will be going into the Region 13 Tournament this weekend as the #1 seed. They will play their first game on Friday, May 4, 2018, at 12:00 p.m. against Lake Region State College in Williston, ND.
If Dawson wins the championship, they will attend the Super Regional District H Tournament in Des Moines, IA, May 11-13 for a chance to participate in the NJCAA National Tournament in Clinton, MS.
DCC won the 2018 Mon-Dak Conference regular season title. This is their sixth conference title in the last eight seasons.
“It’s an honor to win another conference championship,” said head coach Jim LeProwse. “The most awarding thing for me are seeing my players win the conference. I told this team in the beginning that we have something special. They have worked hard and overcame obstacles this year.”
