GLENDIVE – DCC Men’s Basketball Coach Joe Peterson was pleased to announce the signing of 6’2 guard Cam’ron Dunfee out of Castle Rock, Colorado. “Cam is an outstanding young man and a natural leader. He has a lot of skills and athleticism, but will do whatever it takes to win. He is also versatile enough to play multiple positions.”

Cam averaged 13 ppg and made 37 three-pointers on the season. He shot 80% from the free throw line and collected 4.1 rebounds per game. His teams have qualified for the State Tournament all four years he was in high school. For the past two seasons he played for Douglas County High School in Colorado and was coached by former NBA player Earl Boykins. Cam was an All-League selection in the Colorado Continental League in the largest classification in Colorado.

Cam explained his decision, “I chose DCC because of Coach Peterson and Coach Bland’s belief in my abilities. They took a chance on me and made me feel like part of a close knit family. They also gave me the opportunity to further my education at a small campus where I can be provided with lots of personal instruction. I plan to give my all repaying them for that both on and off the court. Also, I wanted to be a part of the success that Coach Peterson and his staff have had at DCC. With Glendive not being the biggest city, to say the least, the passion it has for athletics at this college is unlike any other. With family being so important to me, I was ensured that being a part of this team means that I will have brothers and sisters throughout the town. Lastly, being in Glendive allows me to work on my craft without the distractions of a large city. I feel blessed to be coached by a former Buc and can’t wait to help Dawson become one of the best teams in all of the NJCAA!”
