Baker’s Cleet Wrzesinski earns weekly track and field honor for Dickinson State

MADISON, S.D. – The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) conference announced its final installment of the men’s indoor track & field athletes of the week honors Tuesday. Cleet Wrzesinski of Dickinson State (N.D.) was selected as the field athlete of the week. Cameron Harming of Dakota State (S.D.) was chosen to the track athlete of the week.

Wreszinski of Dickinson State (N.D.) shattered a new North Star conference mark in the heptathlon, winning the event title at the Mutli-Events conference championships in Jamestown, N.D. The freshman from Baker, Mont. won four different events, capturing the 60-meter dash (7.19 seconds), long jump (22 feet, 6.5 inches – 6.87 meters), shot put (34 feet, 9.5 inches – 10.60 meters) and 60-meter hurdles (8.52 seconds). Wreszinski racked up a total of 4,700 points, breaking the previous North Star conference meet record of 4,292 points set by Thomas Sease in 2016. He also surpassed the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Provisional standard mark of 4,150 points.
