SPOKANE — Jill Barta had 10th double-double of the season and 17th of her career to help Gonzaga to a 90-66 West Coast Conference women’s basketball win over Pacific on Thursday.

Barta, who never lost a game during her high school career at Fairfield, scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Gonzaga won its 15th consecutive game. The Zags built a 25-15 lead by the end of the first quarter and maintained a double-digit advantage much of the way. As a team, Gonzaga made 50.7 percent of its field goals attempts, 50 percent of its 3-point attempts and 83.3 percent from its free throw attempts.

Zykera Rice (13 points), Chandler Smith (12) and Laura Stockton (10) also finished in double figures for the Bulldogs, who improved to 20-4 overall and 13-0 in the WCC.

GeAnna Luaulu-Summers scored 25 points for Pacific, but the Tigers made just 35.6 percent of their field goal attempts for the game. Gonzaga also held a 47-33 rebounding advantage.

Five games remain on the Bulldogs’ regular-season schedule. They next host St. Mary’s at 3 p.m. (MT) Saturday with an opportunity to clinch the conference championship. Gonzaga’s 15-game win streak is the fifth longest active streak in the nation.
