CORVALLIS, Ore. – With under three minutes to play and Oregon State trailing UCLA by one, Tres Tinkle had his biggest basket of the night. A three-pointer by Tinkle gave the Beavers a two-point lead en route to a 69-63 victory.

Oregon State led by five at halftime, but struggled to separate from the Bruins due to lackluster shooting. The Beavers shot just 36.5% from the field, but made up for it on the glass where they out rebounded UCLA 45-37. Oregon State also had all five starters in double-figures scoring.

Tinkle led Oregon State with 16 points while also adding a team-high three assists and pulling down six rebounds. The Beavers are now 3-3 in conference play and 11-7 overall. Oregon State hosts USC Saturday night. USC is 5-2 in the Pac-12 and 14-6 overall.
