FORT COLLINS, Colo. — Olivia Roberts struggled from the floor shooting, but the former Missoula Sentinel High School star made crucial plays to help Wyoming to a 53-49 women’s basketball win at Colorado State on Saturday.

Roberts made just three of 11 field goal attempts, but she converted all six of her free throw attempts to secure 13 points and help the Cowgirls to a 4-1 mark in the Mountain West Conference. Roberts added four rebounds, one assist and one steal in the win.

Wyoming also got 15 points and eight rebounds from Bailee Cotton to help hold off Colorado State. The Cowgirls led 22-14 at halftime and grew the lead 10 points early in the third quarter, but CSU got within one point multiple times in the fourth quarter.

Colorado State got 12 points from Jordyn Edwards and 11 from Liah Davis in the loss.

Wyoming (11-5 overall, 4-1 conference) returns home this week. The Cowgirls next host Utah State on Jan. 20.
