Sidney tops Frenchtown to win Class A Duals

SIDNEY — Sidney dominated Frenchtown in the championship round of the Class A Duals on Saturday in Belgrade.

The Eagles started off with a bang. Brodey Skogen pinned Frenchtown’s Cody Miller, the third-ranked wrestler at 285 pounds.

Top-ranked Sidney wrestlers Christian Dean (138) and Jett Jones (182) also won by pinfall, while Trevor Dean and Jace Winter posted wins, too.

Frenchtown got a win in the 113-pound match that pit the state’s top two ranked wrestlers against each other. Walker Dyer defeated Sidney’s Caiden Kline by major decision, 9-0. Top-ranked 120-pound wrestler Jake Bibler moved up to 126 for the Broncs and beat third-ranked Everett Jensen.
