MISSOULA – Both Kalispell Glacier and Flathead wrestling teams traveled to Missoula on Thursday night to take on Sentinel and Big Sky, respectively.
Sentinel def. Glacier 48-30
At Sentinel, the Glacier Wolfpack came in looking to steal a road victory. In the first few classes, Sentinel built a steady lead before Glacier took back a few points winning the 160-, 205- and 285-pound classes. In the end, Sentinel’s quick start was too much, as the Spartans won 48-30.
Flathead def. Big Sky 31-28
At Big Sky, the Eagles scored points at the first four classes to build a large early lead. But the two-time defending state champions from Kalispell came back in the end. Flathead finished off the comeback in the final match, beating Big Sky 31-28.
All four teams travel to Butte for the Mining City Duals on Friday and Saturday.
