MISSOULA — The Missoula Sentinel boys and Hellgate girls earned track and field bragging rights at Missoula County Stadium on Thursday. The Spartan boys easily won the Greg Rice city title. The Knight girls held off Big Sky and Sentinel to take the crown.
Multiple event winners on the boys side included Sentinel’s Elias DeWaters (long jump, triple jump, 400-meter run), Sentinel’s Jaden Foster (100- and 200-meter dashes) and Sentinel’s Jace DeWalt (110- and 300-meter hurdles).
On the girls side, Sentinel’s Ashley McElmurry won the long jump, 100 hurdles and 300 hurdles. Big Sky’s Hadlea Fred won the 100 and 200 meters. Hellgate’s Kylie Lunday took the shot put and discus titles.
