Bozeman track sweeps dual against rival Butte

BOZEMAN — The Bozeman boys and girls track teams both took victories in their dual meet at home against Butte on Thursday afternoon.

The Hawks’ Joe Olson led the way with two wins: the 100-meter dash, where he clocked in a time of 11.01 seconds, and the 110-meter high hurdles, which he ran in 15.98 seconds.

Butte’s Tommy Mellott took home a win in the long jump, launching 20 feet, and collected a second-place finish in the 100-meter dash.

Zoe Waddell of Bozeman paced the girls side with two wins in the field, throwing the shot put 34 feet, 9.75 inches. She also won the discus event by 11 feet, throwing 114-03.

The Bulldogs girls dominated the sprints Thursday as Mollee Conlan and Alley Cleverly won the 100- and 200-meter dashes, respectively.
