BILLINGS — The Billings Skyview Falcons have sole possession of second place in the Eastern AA after clipping Billings West Tuesday, 4-3.

The Falcons used a trio of solo home runs to jump out to an early 3-0 lead. Hannah Hoffarth, Jessica Ellis and Kaylee Kannegieser all blasted long balls.

West (13-5 overall, 7-5 Eastern AA) tied it 3-3 in the top of the fifth inning thanks to a Morgan Stoppel RBI double and two-run blast over the fence from Kinzee Koch.

But Kannegieser put it away for Skyview (11-5, 8-4) with a sac fly in the bottom half for the 4-3 final.

Earlier on Tuesday across town, Billings Senior exploded for seven runs in the third inning and four more in the fourth to shut out Bozeman 13-0 in five innings. The Broncs improve to 11-6, 7-5 overall while Bozeman fell to 1-15, 1-11.
