ANACONDA — The wind was strong Thursday afternoon, but that didn’t stop rivals Deer Lodge and Anaconda from playing a quick seven innings on the softball diamond against each other in Anaconda.
Both the Wardens and the Copperheads would stretch across a run each in the first frame, and then Deer Lodge would steadily get out ahead throughout the game and take a 5-2 lead in the sixth inning.
But the Copperheads rallied in the bottom of the seventh to win in walk-off style, 6-5, improving their record to 8-7-1.
