Gunderson’s walk-off home run seals Great Falls CMR’s win against Billings Senior

GREAT FALLS — The Great Falls CMR softball team hosted Billings Senior and Billings Skyview for a doubleheader at the Great Falls Multi-Sports Complex on Friday.

It was a back-and-forth game the entire away in the matchup with Senior and CMR. Senior held a 7-6 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh inning. With one run on, Rustlers junior Kiely Gunderson stepped to the plate and launched two-run walk-off home run to seal the win for CMR, 8-7.

Billings Skyview took the Rustlers to eight innings in the second matchup, and the Falcons prevailed 5-4. CMR (6-3 overall, 3-1 conference) now sits third in the Eastern. Skyview sits second in the Eastern AA at 9-2 overall, 6-1 conference. Senior, meanwhile, is sixth at 3-5 overall, 0-4 conference.
