MISSOULA — The Missoula Big Sky Eagles made the short trip across town to take on the Missoula Sentinel Spartans in a Class AA softball game Tuesday.
From the start, Sentinel was the team to beat. After a clean first half of the first inning, the Spartans’ offense got going. With some help from the Big Sky defense making errors, the Spartans scored five in the first inning.
In the second, Sentinel continued to put the pressure on, scoring six more to make it 11-0 before Big Sky could escape the inning.
In the end, Sentinel rolled to a 17-0 victory.
