KALISPELL — The final day of the Class A state tennis championships was dominated by two schools, Dillon and host Whitefish.

Dillon had Brad Rakich competing for the boys singles title, while Mark Southam and Nathaniel Leonardson were playing for the doubles title.

Whitefish had Brendan Buls and Gracie Smyley in the singles final, while Olivia Potthoff and Aubrey Hanks were competing for the girls doubles title.

Dillon came out with both their teams winning as Rakich took the individual title for the second year in a row. Southam and Leonard got redemption in a rematch of last year’s quarterfinal match, this time ending on top.

For Whitefish, two of the three competitors came out with a state title. Buls dropped the state title match to Rakich for the second year in a row, but Smyley came away with the singles title and the girls doubles team of Hanks and Potthoff also came away with first place.
