HELENA — The Helena Capital girls scored two goals in each half en route to a 4-0 victory over Kalispell Glacier in a Class AA play-in game on Tuesday afternoon. The win keeps the Bruins’ season alive, while the defeat ends the Wolfpack’s season.

Capital’s Ellie Stiffler scored the opening goal of the match, getting behind the Glacier defense and beating the keeper on a quick-footed attempt to the far side. Megan Lindbo and Paris Prissel paired up for a goal later in the half to give the Bruins the 2-0 lead.

Helena Capital, the No. 6 seed from the Western AA, will travel to Missoula to face Missoula Sentinel, the No. 3 seed, in a winner-to-state contest later this week. The Bruins and Spartans will meet at 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
