Missoula Hellgate, Sentinel pick up soccer wins over Kalispell schools

MISSOULA – The Hellgate Knights hosted the Flathead Braves’ soccer teams on Tuesday afternoon in Missoula, while Missoula Sentinel took on Kalispell Glacier.

Boys:

Hellgate vs. Flathead – The Braves got off on the right foot scoring in the first five minutes as Colter Goss scored on a breakaway. The Knights tied it up on a corner kick goal from Andrew Lodmell on the rebound and then again scoring on a penalty kick. In the second half, the Knights scored three more to secure the 5-1 victory to remain undefeated.

Sentinel vs. Glacier – Seven minutes into the game the Wolfpack won a corner and took advantage as Diego Mendoza found Micah Heil, who kicked it in giving Glacier a 1-0 lead. Then midway through the first half Moah McNelis of Sentinel got behind the defense on a long pass and finished easily to tie it up. In the second half, the Spartans came alive, they win it 5-1.

Girls:

Hellgate vs. Flathead – The Lady Knights and Bravettes drew at 1-1

Sentinel vs. Glacier – The Lady Spartans won 4-2 over Glacier
